Pan&Vino – Orta San Giulio - Italy

The restaurant is called Pan&Vino (Tripadvisor Link), located in the really beautiful small town called Orta San Giulio, on Orta Lake. This small town could be really attractive for all the tourists who arrive to Malpensa airport because Orta is 50 minutes by car from the airport & is a little treasure on the lake with its wonderful island called San Giulio island.
Please consider also that Orta is in Piedmont (Piemonte) that is one of the most famous Italian region for foods & wine (but also for Art, FCA & Football)
This is not a Michelin Guide Restaurant & in general this is not a typical restaurant because Pan&Vino offer good quality foods based on homemade food research around Orta & Piedmont, so you’ll find in particular: sausages, bread, marinated vegetables & Cheese!
I think that Pan&Vino could be a good choice in Orta because is not a touristic location. Foods are good & based on a careful research in the area. I saw lots of Pizzeria & restaurant in the Orta Square, but lots of them with shoddy foods (bad pizza & bad pasta).
I tried the sausages & cheese mix, but also the daily suggestions (pan-fry vegetables with burrata cheese). About wine: Ferrari Perlè
You’ll find also lots of wine but luckily not the wine from cask (or house wine)! Every wine is selected & come from a defined area in Italy.
So, please, don’t hesitate to taste some good cheese or sausages in Pan&Vino & be sure that you’ll taste some real Italian flavours
