La Ciau del Tornavento – Treiso (CN) – Italy
Treiso is a small village with just 800 inhabitants in close proximity to the more famous city of Alba. The town does not have much to offer in terms of architectural landmarks and historic trails, despite the fact that the Roman emperor Publio Elvio Pertinace lived near here. The town is quite small and most of it's roads overlook the surrounding vineyards which present themselves like an oil painting in the distance...but if you’re interested to visit more, you’ll visit Alba or Barbaresco that are not so far from this town.

The Ciau offers Great food and definitely a very good service. This is one of the restaurants where I will go back.
This restaurant also offers a fantastic view of the hills that surround it & I think that this create an incredible atmosphere inside the restaurant thanks to the full windows that mark the dining room.
This restaurant is awarded with one star by the Michelin guide & I’m sure that it’s all deserved!
The foods was great & in particular I tasted:
Pequillo Pepper with cheese
Saffron Risotto with “Stracciatella cheese”
Destructured Veal with Tuna Sauce that was fantastic
Homemade bread with interesting spices inside & different flavours
We eat everything with a special red wine local bottle: Barbaresco – Gaja – 2011
At the end the sommelier enjoyed us with a new wine testing of Barbaresco – Gaja – 1998
AMAZING DINNER, really amazing! Everything was tremendous!
At the end of the dinner we visited the wonderful wine cellar..please don’t loose it! It seems to be in the “wine paradise”..lots of bottle all over the world, many of them are also really really expensive.
All the bottles are positioned to create also an amazing view effect..nothing is left to chance!
This is one of my favourite restaurant so..if you’re planning a trip across the Langhe I think you have to visit this restaurants!
