Trattoria Zappatori – Pinerolo (TO) – Italy
Pinerolo, 35.000 inhabitants, lies at the entrance to the Chisone Valley, with the Cozie Alps rising behind it. The city hosted the men's and women's curling tournaments in the last Winter Olympic Games (Torino 2006) and in the 23rd Winter Universiade (2007). In Pinerolo you’ll have a chance to visit the wonderful St. Donato Church &, in my opinion, this is a good reason to visit this city. Web Site Here.

I found this restaurant by chance in Pinerolo but I have to confirm that was an interesting restaurant.
It seems to go inside a museum..I really don’t know why this was my feeling, but that’s it. The restaurant has warm lights, not so many tables and I think this is a right choice because it creates the right mood inside restaurant, without noise & the right intimacy for each table.
The dinner started with Crodino Sorbet with toasted & salted hazelnut - really amazing & interesting starter. Then foie gras button with dark chocolate & coffee, Parmesan foam with lemon zest.
After these starters I ate a wonderful cheeses taste & then deer with aronia fruits & mashed cabbage.
Both of them are really amazing, good & wide choice of cheeses & really curious the aronia fruits with roasted deer.
For Dessert I decided to taste the mix of typical Piedmont desserts: Panna Cotta – Crème Caramel – Bunet – Tiramisù & hazelnut ice cream.
I choose a bottle of Prunotto Bric Turot Barbaresco, very interesting wine in particular for the price/quality ratio.
